Once Havana's Special brand, the Trinidad was used for gift purposes for several years. The cigars were launched for the general public in 1998 as the Trinidad Fundadores.
Trinidad Topes is a superb cigar, with overtones of lemon, minerals, gingerbread, and nougat in the sour, woody smoke, and a creamy floral finish.
For several years Trinidad was made at El Laguito, the Cohiba factory, where its uniquely fragrant and aromatic, medium flavoured blend of filler and binder leaves from the Vuelta Abajo zone was developed.
