Juan Lopez might be one of the lesser-known Cuban brands in production, but the Selección No. 2 is one of the best robustos from Cuba we smoked all year. Sadly, it’s one of only two sizes still left in the line.
The Juan López brand was created by a Spaniard of the same name in the 1870s. It is a brand primarily known within small circles of smokers, but it enjoys strong loyalty from its followers. The Selección No.1 and especially the Selección No.2 essentially make up the brand’s vitola portfolio.
The Selección Especial was incorporated into the brand's lineup to commemorate its 150th anniversary and the 30th anniversary of the international La Casa del Habano franchise network.
