Once Havana's Special brand, the Trinidad was used for gift purposes for several years. The cigars were launched for the general public in 1998 as the Trinidad Fundadores.
The Media Luna is a totally new size within the Habanos catalogue, measuring 4 12" (115mm) x 50 ring gauge and referred to as a Marinas in Cuban manufacturers. In English, the word Media Luna means "Half Moon," but it is also the name of a small Cuban town.
