Herman Upmann was a German banker who fell in love with Cuban cigars and moved to Havana in 1844 to set up shop as both a banker and a cigar maker. His bank closed in the early 1920s, but his cigars remain a fine example of an elegant, Mild-Medium flavored Habano.
H. Upmann's blend is made entirely of tobaccos grown in the Vuelta Abajo zone for filler and binder.
The Half Corona is a creamy cigar with tasting notes of coffee. This cigar begins floral and bready before picking up a salty earthiness. The finish leaves a bit of grit on the palate. Overall this cigar is an experience one must live.
