The Double Toro is wrapped in a lovely oily Habano Sun Grown wrapper on the outside. A strong, yet mellow blend of aged Nicaraguan ligero completes the package inside this excellent leaf. Full-bodied with layers of coffee, spice, and dark chocolate flavors.
Though the draw is notably firm on this big log of a cigar, it still imparts a big blast of pepper—red, white and black—before settling in to its bold, woody core. There’s a touch of charry bitterness and vague brown sugar on the finish.
This cigar has earned a 94 rating from Cigar Aficionado and has been featured in their Top 25 Cigars list for its bold complexity and outstanding construction.
